Is this normal for parents to do?

I'm a 14 year-old guy. I don't usually go out to the mall, but one time I did. And my mom made me pay for the whole thing myself. I have no source of income. I don't even have an allowance, even though I do a ton of housework. I'm down to under $100 I think. Don't most parents give their kids money to go out places? I know my mom can't afford to give me money every night to do something, but I think she could at least afford $20 once a week when I want to go do something. I have almost no social life now, partly because I can't afford it.
