How can I make a tumblr theme?

I want to make a tumblr theme. Problem is that I am not to well at html tags. What i want to do is to have my page look like this website a bit http://www.thepremierstore.com/ Away from the navigation bars, i want it to look centered, a black background, how can i do this?
