What does this quote by socartes mean?
Often times people are to prideful to admit when they do not understand something. However once you admit you do not understand what is going on, then you can begin to take in knowledge without bias beliefs. For instance, lets say you're watching a baseball game between the Yankees and Redsox, but you know nothing of baseball other than your dad likes the yankees. All of your opinions will now be based on the yankees, you are automatically going to want them to win even though you know nothing about them, just so you do not look like an idiot in front of your dad. But once you say "I don't know what is going on please explain" then you can begin to see the game for what it truly is, and form your own opinions based on your new knowledge.
